Mission: JAPAN is run by a team which is headed by Greg Fletcher.  The community began as a dream for Greg in 1998.  He was a missionary in Japan at the time.  He wanted to help develop a community that could help one another as well as provide guidance and insight for people who are interested in evangelical missions and reaching Japanese people in Japan or anywhere else in the world.

The dream was for a community of people on both ends of the spectrum of experience and involvement who could help one another.  Missionaries and other vocational workers with high levels of experience in ministry with Japanese could provide information for people who wanted to know more.  People who weren't vocational ministers - or weren't yet in some cases, but wanted to minister to Japanese - could pray for the work and communicate with field workers they may not have met outside of Mission: JAPAN.  They could also often find opportunities for involvement right where they were.

Some portions of the dream have taken off and done well.  Others have had trouble taking wings.  The vision is still the same, and the community continues to grow.  We look forward to having you as a part of the community!  Let us know how we can serve you!
